BONNIE COTTRELL GILLEY
Graveside service for Bonnie S. Cottrell Gilley, 78, of Tyler was at 2
p.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery in Rusk with Rev. Rudy Bond officiating.
Mrs. Gilley died April 30. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Rusk to the late Juel and Nellie Buxton Cottrell. She was reared on a farm near Giddings in Old Dime Box. She moved to Rusk at an early age where she attended Rusk High School. Mrs. Gilley worked as a night auditor for Best Western Hotel in Tyler and was a member of New Life Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Cottrell.
Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Lloyd L. Gilley of Tyler; two sons and daughters-in law, Lloyd E. and Cloie Gilley of Lindale and Joel R. and Gretchen Gilley of Denton; a daughter, Suzanne Gilley of Tyler; a granddaughter, Priscilla Gilley; a brother and sister-in law, Neiley Ray and Joy Cottrell of Spring; and four sisters, Ruby Jackson of Jacksonville, Ruth Knutson of Tyler, Betty Henderson of Tyler and Lela Chachere of Whitehouse.
Pallbearers were Lloyd E. Gilley, Joel Gilley, Mondo Duran, Tony Duran, Kip Jones and Kevin Jones. Stewart Funeral Home of Tyler was in charge. To express condolences, visit www. stewartfamilyfuneral.com.
