David Matthew Davis

Funeral services for David Matthew Davis, 33, of Jacksonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, Troup with Elder Samuel Jones, Rev. Billy Tribble, Rev. Julia Session, and Rev. E. Ward officiating under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Davis died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 in Jacksonville. He was born April 7, 1975 in Cherokee County. He was a 1994 graduate of New Summerfield High School and a member of Grace Temple Church of God in Christ. Survivors include his grandfather, Eugene Ward, of Jacksonville; brothers and sister-in-law, Bryant Davis, of Jacksonville, Byron Davis and his wife, Evelyn, of Tyler; sisters and brother-in-law, Cherlonda Davis, of Jacksonville, Robina and her husband Lloyd Clark, of Tyler; several aunts, including special aunt Linnis Ward; and several uncles, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Davis, Jr., Larry West, Kwast Hines, Carl Sparks, Marquis Ward and Chris White.
