FLORENCE A. CORONA

Funeral for Florence A. Corona, 77, of Channelview was at 3 p.m., Sunday in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Raines and the Rev. Brandon Miles officiating. Burial was in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery. Mrs. Corona died April 30. She was born September 15, 1930, in Houston to the late Ray Lee and Ethel Boyd Wilson. She was a resident of Channelview 15 years, formerly of Houston. She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church in Houston, taught Sunday School and was also a homemaker. Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Karon O'Gorman of Sardis; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and James Turrentine of San Antonio and Aline Willy of Houston; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jackie O'Gorman Jr., Andrew Watson, Steven Schochler, Matthew Patrick, Dustin Clayton and Pat Gill.

Funeral services for Florence A. Corona, 77, of Channelview are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2008 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Rusk with Rev. Kenneth Raines and Rev. Brandon Miles officiating. Interment will be in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

Mrs. Corona died April 30, 2008 in a Houston Hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1930 in Houston to the late Ray Lee and Ethel Boyd Wilson.
