Rose Mary Christopher

Funeral services for Rose Mary Christopher, 77, of the Corinth Community in Bullard, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 in Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. L. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Christopher died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at her home in Bullard. She was born Aug. 5, 1931 in Cherokee County. She was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Bethena Shamblin; husband, Perry Christopher; one son, two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford and Utherus Boyd, Jr., Lemmon Earl Boyd, of Bullard, Kenneth Wayne and Ruby Boyd of Bullard, and Charles Boyd of Eureka, Calif.; daughters and son-in-law Ruthie Whitaker, of Houston, Jerlene Boyd, Wanda and Felix Abu, of Jacksonville and Michelle Boyd, of Bullard; sister, Opal Faye Allen, of Kansas City, Mo.; 25 grandchildren and16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Nathan Golden, Henry Cook, Bo Brewer, Fred Bowie, and Michael Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Corinth Baptist Church.
