Willie Bill Boyd
Services for Willie Boyd, 83, Jacksonville, will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, May 3 at New Hope Baptist Church, Rev. C.L. Anderson and Rev.
Venell Alexander officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Jacksonville under the
direction of Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Boyd died Wednesday, April 25 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
He was born April 3, 1925 in Jacksonville.
He worked at Brown Lumber Company and was a retired farmer. He attended
public schools and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by two children, his parents and two
brothers.
He is survived by his wife Lillie Bell Waggoner Boyd of Jacksonville;
three sons, Billy Ray Boyd, Willie Boyd and his wife Evelyn of
Jacksonville and Floyd Boyd and his wife Linda of Dallas; three
daughters, Mrs. Gloria B. Brown of Dallas, Mrs. Nadine Watson of Aguso,
California and Ms. Edna Faye Boyd of Jacksonville; two brothers, Ealy
Boyd and his wife Matiel of Fort Worth; G.T. Boyd and his wife Jessie L.
of Jacksonville; five sisters, Polly Cook and her husband Gilbert of
Jacksonville, Lorene Jones of Jacksonville, Emma Hollins and her husband
Elbert of San Antonio, Maxine Thomas and her husband Earl of Wichita
Falls and Mary L. Jackson and her husband Willie of Sagana, Michigan and
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frederick Brown, Marcus Boyd, Jamison Boyd, Willie
Boyd, Welton Boyd, Cedric Brown and Carma Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers are deacons of New Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Home
Chapel.
