TRAVIS WELCH

 

Graveside service for Travis Welch, 73, of Reklaw was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at Zion Hill Cemetery at Minden, Rusk County with the Rev. Jerry Wallis officiating.

Mr. Welch died Jan. 29. He was born March 20, 1935, in Orange. to Nepolian and Lenora Jones Welch. Mr. Welch was a Baptist and a paint contractor.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Hassell; son, Travis Dean Welch; parents, Nepolian and Lenora Welch; and sister, Mary Ann Hollis.

Survivors include wife of 55 years, Barbara Welch of Reklaw; sisters-in-law, Mary McKinney of Gallatin, Nettie Hubbard and Cheryl Garner, both of Rusk; four grandchildren, Lynn Hassell of Elkhart, Brandon Welch of Shiner, Stephen Hassell of Maydelle and Trevor Welch of Whitehouse; and eight greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were Keith Byrd, Jimmy Welch, Billy Welch, Lynn Fred Welch, Nathan Welch and Larry Welch.

Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
