 Funeral services for J.B. Ward, 71, of Rusk, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Mertis Bartley officiating. Burial will be in Rusk Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Mr. Ward died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 in Lexington Care Center in Rusk. He was born Feb. 4, 1937 in Sacul. He attended George Bradford public school in Rusk and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his aunt, Dorothy Jackson, of Rusk; brothers, Hubard Ward, of Lufkin and Frazier Foreman, of Dallas; sisters, Lola Mallard, of Rusk and Mary Foreman, Charlsie Session, of Rusk and Ann Leviston, of Rusk. Pallbearers will be Melvin Session II, Wesley Foreman, Jeremy Bolton, Emile Tony I, Akeem Leviston and Melvin Foreman. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie R. J. B. WARD

Funeral for J.B. Ward, 71, of Rusk was at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Mertis Bartley officiating. Burial was in Rusk Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Ward died Jan. 11. He was born Feb. 4, 1937, in Sacul. He attended George W. Bradford High School and was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Hubard Ward of Lufkin and Frazier and Carolyn Foreman of Dallas; four sisters and two brothersin law, Lola B. and Adam Mallard, Mary Foreman, Charlsie Session and Ann and Jerry Leviston, all of Rusk; and an aunt Dorothy Jackson of Rusk.

Pallbearers were Melvin Session II, Dr. Wesley Foreman, Jeremy Bolton, Emile Tony, Akeem Leviston and Melvin W. Foreman. Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie R. Gipson, John Richard Cook, Sam O'Neil, Mike Cook and Jessie Simmons.

Arrangements were under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
