RUDOLPH (RUDY) THOMPSON
Graveside service for Rudolph (Rudy) W. Thompson, 57, of Pahrump, Nev., formerly of Jacksonville, was at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Concord Cemetery near Troup with Duane Turner, Andy Cox and Marc Sharp officiating.

Mr. Thompson died Monday, July 28, at his home in Nevada. He was born Feb. 20, 1951 in Texas and was employed in the printing industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruford Theron Thompson and Louiza Winifred Sharp Thompson; and a niece Rickie Marie Johnston.

Survivors are three sisters; Charlotte and Duane Turner of Hughes Springs, Brenda and Tommy Shuttlesworth of Wake Village and Nell and Jim Buchanan of Longview; a brother, Randy and Betty Thompson of Lovettsville, Va. and special friend and caregiver, Marcia Lovell of Pahrump.

Honorary pallbearers were John Turner, Ricky Brock- Jones, Theron Turner, Chad Brock-Jones, Jason Shuttlesworth and Charlie Shuttlesworth. Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Duane Turner, Andy Cox and Marc Sharp officiating under the direction of Autry Funeral home in Jacksonville. Mr. Thompson died Monday, July 28, 2008 at his home in Nevada. He was born Feb. 20, 1951 in Texas. Mr. Thompson was employed in the printing industry and was considered a very loving person by friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruford  Theron Thompson and Louiza Winifred Sharp Thompson and niece Rickie Marie Johnston. He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Charlotte and Duane Turner of Hughes Springs, Brenda and Tommy Shuttlesworth of Wake Village, and Nell and Jim Buchanan of Longview; brother and sister-in-law Randy and Betty Thompson of Lovettsville, Va.; several loving nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver Marcia Lovell of Pahrump, Nev. who was with him to the end of his journey. Honorary pallbearers are John Turner, Ricky Brock-Jones, Theron Turner, Chad Brock-Jones, Jason Shuttlesworth and Charlie Shuttlesworth.
