Funeral services for Sammy H. Terry, 56, of Jacksonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Ambassador for Christ MBC with Pastor Dwight Rivers, Minister Maurice Chase and Bishop J. Berry officiating under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Mr. Terry died Monday, April 7, 2008 in Dallas. He was born July 27, 1951 in Everett, La. and attended Johnson High School in Mansfield, La. He was a member of Ambassador for Christ MBC and a self-employed contractor. Survivors include his wife, Annie Terry, of Jacksonville; mother, Winnie Johnson, of Logansport, La.; son, Darron McKevin, of Logansport, La.; daughters, Cora Borkins, of Beaumont, Karen McKevin, of Logansport, La., Christa Terry, of Jacksonville, Latoshia McCuin and husband, Raymond, of Jacksonville, Angela Terry, of Jacksonville, Tameka Terry, of Dallas and Ocie Terry of Killeen; brothers and sister-in-law, Bertis and Evette Handy, of Mansfield, La., Earl Handy of Hartford, Conn.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Bolden, of Hartford, Joe Ann and Bob Steel of Huntsville, Shirley and Calvin Roberts, of Joaquin, Mollie Handy of Logansport, La.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
