O. W. TAYLOR

 

Graveside service for O. W. Taylor, 89, of Jacksonville, was at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Meador Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Jamerson officiating.

Mr. Taylor died Oct. 16. He was born July 10, 1919 in Beckville to Clarence Taylor and Virginia Holder Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a member of the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver and co-owner of Taylor's Western Wear and The Jacksonville Travel Station. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a life member of VFW Post 3984, Jacksonville Riders Club and USS Denver Association.

Preceding him in death were his son, Maurice Taylor; parents, Clarence and Virginia Taylor; brother, R. B. Taylor; and a son-in-law, Gary Mc- Cormack.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Taylor of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in law Wayne and Nita Taylor of Henderson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ginny and Sam Williams of Hideaway Lake and Melissa McCormack of Nacogdoches; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
