HELEN RUTH SWEARINGEN

 

Funeral for Helen Ruth Swearingen, 86, of Mount Selman was at 10 a.m. Oct. 16, at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville with the Rev. Davy Carter officiating. Burial was in Larissa Cemetery.

Mrs. Swearingen died Oct.13. She was born Friday, Feb. 10, 1922, in Jacksonville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Will D. Edwards; mother, Elah Mae Grimes Edwards; husband, William D. Swearingen; and son, Mike Arnold.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Mo and Ruth Arnold of Jacksonville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley Mabe and Brenda and Wayne Kern, all of Beaumont, a step-son, Steve Browning of Temple; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jeff Arnold, Andy Watkins, Junior Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, Steve Mizzles and Wayne Kern.
