Royal Edward Stewart
Funeral services for Royal Edward Stewart, 71, of New Summerfield, were
held at 12:30 Sunday, Dec. 31, 2007 at Grace Temple Church of God in
Christ, Troup, with Elder Samiel W. Jones, Rev. Robert Davis and Rev.
Billy Tribble officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, New
Summerfield under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Stewart died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 in Trinity Mother Frances Hospital
in Tyler. He was born Jan. 14, 1936 in New Summerfield. He attended Pine
Hill Schools in the Pine Hill Community. He attended Grace Temple Church
of God in Christ and was active in the Sunday school, was a member of
the choir and a deacon for the church. He was a retired logger. He is
survived by his wife, Kathryn Stewart of New Summerfield; sons and
daughters-in-law, Donny and Cheryl Stewart of Jacksonville, Todd and
Cynthia Stewart of Sacramento, Ca. and Michael and Sarah Stewart of
London, England; daughters and son-in-law, Tonya and Keith Hayter of
Tyler, Cynthia Lee of Portland, Ore., Latrina Williams, of Houston,
Sharon Fletcher of Houston and Ann Story of Tyler; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Eddie and Rubye Stewart of Denver, Co., Elmer Stewart of
Rusk and Larry and Paula Stewart of Henderson; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Atheria and J.W. Beachum of Mexia, Linda and Dallas
Kincade of Jacksonville, Faye and Billy Williams of Jacksonville and
Trudie and Billy Tribble of Henderson; eight grandchildren and three
great-grand-children. Pallbearers will be Bryant Davis, B.J. Williams,
Craig Kincade, Darwin Stewart, Dallas Kincade and Edgar Wallace.

Sunday, Dec. 30, at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ in Troup with
Elder Samuel W. Jones, the Rev. Robert Davis and the Rev. Billy Tribble
officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery, New Summerfield.
Mr. Stewart died Dec. 26, 2007.
He was born Jan. 14, 1936, in New Summerfield. He attended Pine Hill school and was a member of the Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, where he served as Sunday school superintendent, member of the choir and a deacon. He was a retired logger.

Pallbearers were Bryant Davis, B.J. Williams, Craig Kincade, Darwin Stewart, Dallas Kincade and Edgar Wallace. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
