HOMER E. SHERFIELD

 

Memorial service for Homer E. Sherfield, 96, of Alto will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Linwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Declois Johnson officiating.

Mr. Sherfield died Friday. He was born Oct. 26, 1912, in Shady Grove to Andrew and Ellen Berkley Sherfield. He lived all of his life in Alto and was a lifetime member of the Linwood Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Sherfield; a daughter, Homer Zell Sherfield; several sisters and one brother.

Survivors are a son, Michael Johnson of Nacogdoches; a daughter and son-in-law, Flora and Willie Edwards of Nacogdoches; three grandchildren, LaTasha Harrell, Summer Edwards and Angela Edwards; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

There will be no visitation.

O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
