HAROLD EDWARD SANDERS

Graveside service for Harold Edward Sanders, 82, of Rusk will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Lowes Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Sanders died Feb. 13. He was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Wiley, Colo. to the late Leslie McKay and Ivy May Wedekind Sanders. He was a resident of Rusk two years, formerly of Madera, Calif. for 42 years and a self employed welder, painter, farmer and beekeeper. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Shirley Dell Sanders of Rusk; two son and daughter-in-law, Harold Gene and Ginger Sanders of Reklaw, their four children and three grandchildren, Ron and Pat Sanders of Castledale, Utah, their seven children and 13 grandchildren and David Sanders of Missouri, his seven children and two grandchildren; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Charles Betz of Rusk, their seven children and 10 grandchildren and Sandra and Ever McClendon Fresno, Calif., their five children and one grandchild, brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Joyce Sanders of Lamar, Colo. Wallace Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
