Thelma lived every moment of her 96 years with us. She was happiest when she was entertaining others with her tall tales, family history or original ghost stories. Thelma was never idle. She would cook, make candy, sew clothing and raggedy Anne and Andy dolls, or crochet. She was gregarious, quick with laughter and often the center of attention and always compassionate and loving. her aura and spirit were endearing to everyone she encountered. Our lives will be less colorful without her. However, Thelma will live always in our hearts, in our memories, and forever in her stories and our love. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time. Published in the Jacksonville Daily Progress from 1/14/2008 - 1/15/2008.
