MARY ALYCE PARSONS

Funeral for Mary Alyce Parsons, 70, of Rusk are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. R.S. Dyess officiating. Burial will be in Lowes Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Parsons died Feb. 3. She was born April 15, 1937, in Rusk to James Edgar and Deron Cummings Wallis.

She was a lifelong Rusk resident, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Angela Deron in 2007, and a brother, Richard Wallis.

Survivors are her husband of 55 years, Lum Parsons of Rusk; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sylyna and Keith Kennedy of Tyler and DeAnna Briley of Rusk; two brothers and sisters in law, Kenneth and Harriet Wallis of Arlington and Dubby and Lila Wallis of Kennedale; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
