Funeral for Byron Theo Parsons, 91, of New Summerfield will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Edwin Crank officiating.
Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery.
Mr. Parsons died Sunday and. He born Nov. 22, 1916, in Gallatin.
Mr. Parsons was a building contractor, carpenter, a member of First Baptist Church in New Summerfield and served on the New Summerfield school board. He was preceded in death by wife, Cleo Merle Parsons; daughter, Beverly Sue Parsons; brother, Alvis Parsons; and sister Maxine Chupp. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Bryon and Vickie Parsons of Missouri City and Rodger Parsons of Jacksonville; brother and sister in-law, Thomas and Letha Jo Parsons, Rusk; sister Doris Hassell, Rusk; sister-in-law Ruth Glynn Holcomb, Jacksonville; three granddaughters and spouses Stacy and Daniel Oberle, Cypress, Kimberley and Jay Nabors, Brenham, and Cori Kelley of Flint; 4 great grandchildren Emma, Eliza and Ella Oberle, all of Cypress and Colton Kelley, Flint; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jay Nabors, James Greenwood, Robin Parsons, Gayle Parsons, John Combs, and Sam Brown, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Hassell, Marcus Hassell and Kenneth Martin.

Funeral services for Byron Theo Parsons, age 91, of New Summerfield are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Dr. Edwin Crank officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield. Mr. Parsons died Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Jacksonville and was born November 22, 1916 in Gallatin, Texas. Mr. Parsons was a building contractor and carpenter in East Texas his entire life, was a member of First Baptist Church in New Summerfield and served on the New Summerfield school board. His hobbies were his work and fishing and loved spending time with his granddaughters and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Cleo Merle Parsons, daughter Beverly Sue Parsons, brother Alvis Parsons and sister Maxine Chupp. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Bryon and Vickie Parsons, Missouri City, TX. and Rodger Parsons, Jacksonville; brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Letha Jo Parsons, Rusk; sister Doris Hassell, Rusk; sister-in-law Ruth Glynn Holcomb, Jacksonville; 3 granddaughters and spouses Stacy and Daniel Oberle, Cypress, TX., Kimberley and Jay Nabors, Brenham, and Cori Kelley, Flint; 4 great grandchildren Emma, Eliza, and Ella Oberle, all of Cypress and Colton Kelley, Flint and numerous nieces and nephews Pallbearers are Jay Nabors, James Greenwood, Robin Parsons, Gayle Parsons, John Combs, and Sam Brown, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Hassell, Marcus Hassell and Kenneth Martin.
