Funeral Services for Mr. Alton Paris, age 65 of Jacksonville are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008, at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville with the Rev. Andy Fannette officiating, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Burial will be at Pierces Chapel Cemetery, Jacksonville. Mr. Paris died Friday, September 26, 2008, in Jacksonville, Texas. He was born June 29, 1943. in Jacksonville, Texas. Mr. Paris was employed at Texas Forestry Service as a forester over 20 years and was a member of the Peoples Church in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick C. Paris; mother, Annie Bell Paris; and his brother, Elvis Paris. Mr. Paris is survived by his wife, Sheila Paris of Jacksonville; sister Bonnie Belk of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include: Jerry Seeton, Clint McElyea, Bill Rose, Ronnie Ray, Marvin Miller, Delbert Crawford and Michael Batton. Honorary Pallbearers include retired employees of Texas Forest Service-Jacksonville, Brandon Miles and James Pike. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family requests that memorials may be made to: Peoples Church of Jacksonville.
