Graveside services for Lois Lee Norwood Osborne, 90, of Rusk are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mrs. Osborne died Jan. 13, 2008 in a Tyler Hospice. She was born June 13, 1917 in Alto to Grover Cleveland “G.C.” and Emma Gertrude Petty Norwood. If desired, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 99, Rusk, Texas 75785. LOIS OSBORNE
Graveside service for Lois Lee Norwood Osborne, 90, of Rusk was at 11
a.m. Tuesday, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Caldwell
officiating. Mrs. Osborne died Jan. 13. She was born June 13, 1917, in
Alto to Grover Cleveland (G.C.) and Emma Gertrude Petty Norwood. She was
a lifelong Rusk resident, a homemaker and a member of the First United
Methodist Church. She was valedictorian of her high school class in
Alto.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Herbert Osborne Jr., and son, Paul Martin Osborne. Survivors are two nieces Cheryl Thomas Black and Marsha Thomas Smith of Alto; two nephews, Grover Carol (G.C.) Norwood of Texas, and Steven Norwood of North Carolina. Pallbearers were Danny Christopher, Jimmy Thompson, Joe Rozelle, Mike Crysup and Don Jones. Honorary pallbearers were detective Ryan Ball, Dr. Ty Black and Dr. Stacy Black. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 99, Rusk 75785. Wallace- Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
