ANDREA HINTON OAKLAND
Andrea Hinton Oakland, 46, of Mountain Home, Idaho, died at her home of an aneurysm Sept. 24.
Memorial Services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 1 at Mc- Murtrey Chapel Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home.
Ms. Oakland was born July 15, 1962, in Buchenbeuren, West Germany. She moved to the U. S. and Fairfield, Calif. at the age of one.
While her father served in Vietnam, she attended kindergarten at the Green Acres Baptist Church Academy in Tyler.
The family moved to Burns Flat, Okla. where she began first grade. In January 1970, she moved to Idaho where she graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1980. She attended Boise State University and graduated from ITT.
Ms. Oakland was employed by the Federal Civil Service until 2007 and worked for Deer Creek Lodge in Pine, Idaho until her death.
Survivors are her parents, M.D. and Lawanda Jones Hinton of Mountain Home; two sisters and a brother in law, Sharon and Jim Hamilton of Alamogordo, N.M. and Cindy Hinton of Houston; a brother and sister in law, Daryl and Dorothy Hinton of Mountain Home; two nephews, Steven Hamilton of Dallas and Michael Hinton of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; two uncles and aunts, Homer and Barbara Hinton of Plano and Herman and Fran Jones Conroe; an aunt and uncle, Angelien Jones and Cecil Traylor of Crockett; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, longtime Rusk residents, Mack D. and Velma Hinton and Horace and Dollie Jones.
