Charles “Charlie” Myers

Mr. Charles “Charlie” Myers, 86 of Jacksonville, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 in Tyler. He was born Monday, Sept. 11, 1922 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Mr. Myers was retired as an engineer and was a lifelong member of the Moose Club No. 692 in Greeneville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by parents, father Charles Myers and mother Bertha Melton Myers; and sister Loretta Tiller. Mr. Myers is survived by his son David and wife Katrina Myers of Jacksonville; daughter Mickey Emery and husband Ronald of Imperial Calif.; sister Deanie Penland of Longview Fla.; brother Paul Myers of Evans Ga.; granddaughters Crystal Bravo of Hopeville, Calif. and Dawn Slawson of Belvidere Ill.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews plus two special friends, Terri Newton and Don Saylor both of Greeneville Tenn. Memorial services are to be scheduled at a later date per family request, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
