MUNSINGER
Funeral for the Rev. A.D. Munsinger of Rusk, 82, were held Jan. 15 at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bobby Goodnight, the Rev. Adrian Neal and the Rev. Kevin Gentry officiating.
Burial followed at Taylor Cemetery in Gallatin.
Mr. Munsinger died Jan. 12 in Jacksonville. He was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Elkhart. Mr. Munsinger was employed in the construction industry and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Maydelle and pastured area churches for more than 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Charlie Munsinger; mother, Lula Belle Taylor and twin daughters, Aleen and Frances.
Mr. Munsinger is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mildred L. Sides Munsinger of Rusk; three sons, Anthony Munsinger and wife Peggy, Albert Munsinger and wife Christie, Phillip Munsinger and wife Dusty, all of Rusk; daughter, Jane Whitten and husband Jim of Palestine; two sisters; Alice Dobbs and Audry Mae Higgenbotham, both of Palestine, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Robert Gholson, Odis Chapman, Robert Luce, Dwain Modisette, Tom Keith, Brian Bridges, Bobby Tosh and Tom Ball. Honorary pallbearers were area Baptist ministers. Memorials may be made to Romanian Women's Shelter and Emmanuel House.
