JO MOORE
Graveside service for Jo Moore, 74, of Alto was at 10 a.m. Thursday, at
the Alto City Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Gates officiating.
Mrs. Moore died April 28. She was born March 27, 1934, in Noth Zulch to Fred and Laura King Lawson. She lived in Alto for several years and was a Baptist. She worked as a waitress in a cafe that she and her husband owned and operated in Silsbee. They also owned a Chevrolet dealership.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Tom Moore; two brothers, Dimmie Johnson and Hubert Johnson; a sister, Doris Lawson and a niece Marilyn Logan.
Survivors are a brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Nelda Lawson of Alto; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Tom Logan of Alto and Lois and J.A. Henley of Cleveland; two nephews, Steve Logan and Dennis Henley; and three nieces, Melinda Gates, Teressa Gardner and Laura Ayers.
Pallbearers were James Mason, Elvin Peacock, Josh Few, Jerry Knott Sr., Steve Logan and David Alexander.
O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
