MCDANIEL
Funeral for Timothy L. "Tim" McDaniel of Troup, 47, was at 1 p.m. Monday at Green Acres Baptist chapel in Tyler, with Dr. Ron Wells officiating. Burial was in the Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler. Mr. McDaniel died Dec. 29.
He was born Aug. 22, 1961, in Childress.He was the president of Apex Geoscience Inc. in Tyler, and active in the environmental geotechnical industry.
He graduated from Sherman High School and received the Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow. A Texas A&M University graduate, he was active in the American Society of Civil Engineers and Chi Epsilon, an honorary civil engineering scholastic fraternity.
He was a member of the Century Club, Association of Former Students and the 12th Man Foundation. He was a member of the board of directors of The Brook Hill School and the First Baptist Church in Whitehouse.
Preceding him in death were his sister, Patti Jane McDaniel; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Chamberlain and Mr. and Mrs. J.A. McDaniel.
Survivors are his wife of 21 years Elaina Robinson McDaniel of Troup; daughter, Tyler Elaina McDaniel of Troup; father, Royce Lynn McDaniel and mother, Betty Howardene Chamberlain McDaniel of Direct; sister and brother-inlaw, Lori and Carey Malone of Paris; father and mother-inlaw, Bill and Norma Robinson and brother-in-law, Barry Robinson all of Rusk; and nephew, Curt Malone of Paris. Pallbearers were Daniel Romo, Jim Markle, Dave Robinson, Barry Robinson, Carey Malone, Mark Little, Ron Anderson and Lynn Hullinger. Honorary Pallbearers were Jimmy Dean, Gregg Neurohr, Mark Swinnea, W.D. Chamberlain, John Hullinger, Donnie Ives, Ross Johnson, Mitchell Bernhard, Don Barron, John Tayntor, Garry Houston, Gary Adams, Danny Adams, Ross McDaniel and Wayland Chamberlain. Memorials may be made to The 12th Man Association of Texas A&M University, Former Students Association at Texas A&M University, St. Judes Children's Hospital in Memphis Tenn., The Make a Wish Foundation or the Texas Gulf Coast "Hurricane Ike Recovery."
