MARY MCCULLOUGH

 

Funeral for Mary Mc- Cullough, 85, of Alto will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Alto First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Pridmore officiating. Burial will be in Alto City Cemetery. Mrs. McCullough died Monday. She was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Alto to Marshall and Della Hill Bryan.

She lived most of her life in Alto and in Houston for 37 years. She was a member of the Alto First Baptist Church and was valedictorian of her graduating class at Rusk High School. She was a homemaker. She worked for S.P. Trainman FCU in Houston as a manager and treasurer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Blackie McCullough in 2004; and granddaughters, Toni and Jodi Johnson in 1987. Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and John Good of Crosby and Judy and Tony Johnson of Alto; a brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Charlotte Skeeters of Alto; a sister-in-law, Marie Thomas of Alto; grandchildren, Jennifer (J.J.) Allen and Ben Johnson. Pallbearers were Ben Johnson, Steve Winfield, Ronnie Norton, Jerry Todd, Kevin Pierce and Eddie Kirkwood. Employees of the Alto Nursing Center were honorary pallbearers.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home.
