Funeral for Johnnie Mae Mabry, 93, of Rusk will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Mabry officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemeter.
Mrs. Mabry died May 4. She was born May 20, 1914, in Helmic to the late John Quincy and Mary Etta Davidson Hicks. She was a resident of Rusk most of her life and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk. Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry Mabry; son, Captain Donald H. Mabry; daughter, Ima Jean Lloyd; two great grandchildren, Justin Fritz and Kayla Denn. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Sandra Mabry of Rusk; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthie and Norman Smith of Houston, Bessie and Laymon Fritz of Conroe, Janis and Tommy Campbell of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.

Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Mabry, age 93, of Rusk are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Mabry officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mrs. Mabry died May 4, 2008 in a Tyler Hospice. She was born May 20, 1914 in Helmic, TX to the late John Quincy and Mary Etta Davidson Hicks. She was a resident of Rusk most of her life and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk. She was a homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mabry, son, Captain Donald H. Mabry, daughter, Ima Jean Lloyd, two great grandchildren, Justin Fritz and Kayla Denn. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Sandra Mabry of Rusk, three daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthie and Norman Smith of Houston, Bessie and Laymon Fritz of Conroe, Janis and Tommy Campbell of Fairfield, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
