DAVID HENRY LITTLEJOHN

Funeral for David Henry Littlejohn, 83, of Grand Junction, Colo. was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Grigsby officiating. Burial was in Rocky Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Littlejohn died May 19 at his home in Grand Junction, Colo. He was born May 28, 1924, in Rusk to A. B. and Josephine Littlejohn. He grew up and attended school in Rusk where he graduated in 1942. Mr. Littlejohn joined the Navy in July 1943 and was honorably discharged on Jan. 20, 1946, serving during World War II.

He married Helen Wyvonne Acker in Marshall on May 16, 1949. She died Jan. 20, 1983. He married Cheryl Hayes Jan. 27, 1984.His life-long occupation as a welder took him to many different states and countries overseas. He retired as chief welding inspector for Northwest Pipeline.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Wyvonne; his sister, Lonnie Faye Young; two brothers Overton and Joe Littlejohn; and one grandson Micah David Break.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Littlejohn of Grand Junction; a son and daughter in law, Michael and Debbie Littlejohn of Newcastle, Okla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Bill McClure of Elgin, Okla.; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Jason and Kathrine Hayes of Denver, Colo.; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Cary and Wes Bellows of Grand Junction; his mother-in-law, Lorranie DeVore of Gateway, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Claude Wilkerson of Gateway, Colo.; one granddaughter, Emily Littlejohn of Newcastle, Okla.; one grandson and wife, David and Tisha Break of Sterling, Okla.; one step-granddaughter, Houston Haley Hayes of Denver, Colo.; two great grandsons, Colten and Caleb Break of Sterling, Okla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Glenda Littlejohn of Rusk; two sisters-in-law Hazel Littlejohn of Tyler and Mary Lynn Higgins of Jacksonville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was born May 28, 1924 in Rusk, TX. to A. B. and Josephine Littlejohn.
