Marcell Laney

Graveside services for Marcell Laney 86, of Fairfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 in the Land Of Memory Cemetery, with the Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home Palestine. Mr. Laney passed away Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1922 in Tecula to John and Viola Laney. Mr. Laney was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Herman, John Allen and J.P. Laney; sisters Opal Herron and Ruby Knight. He is survived by his wife of 40-plus years Dorothy Killough Laney; brothers Merrell and Mack Laney; sister Winnie Van Patton; children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
