NORMAN KIRBY JONES

Memorial service for Norman Kirby Jones, 69, of The Woodlands was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Spring Woods United Methodist Church, 1711 FM 1960 W. Houston.

Mr. Jones died Jan. 2. He was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Austin and grew up in Rusk, where he graduated from Rusk High School. He attended Tyler Junior College and moved to Houston in 1965 after serving in the U.S. armed service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Judge Orvan B. Jones and Thelma Pearl Deaton.

Survivors are his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Jones; two sons and daugthers-inlaw, Michael and Jennifer and Thomas and Amanda; sister and brother-in-law, Janis and Charles Stephens; aunt, Geraldine Coalson; cousin, Barbara Center; step-children, Greg, Sandi and Tom Kopinski and wife Lisa along with adopted children, John and Teresa and her children and grandchild. His grandchildren include Dane Kopinski, Kirby Jones, Ethan Jones, Annika Kopinski, Samantha Jones, Elliot Kopinski, Aidan Jones and Shelby Jones.

Memorials may be made to Spring Woods United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
