RUBY FERN HAWS

 

Funeral for Ruby Fern Haws, 93, of New Summerfield was at11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Joe Pendleton, the Rev. Dr. Edwin Crank and the Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial was in McDonald Cemetery.

Mrs. Haws died Feb. 3. She was born Nov, 12, 1915, in Bosque County to Allen Brown and Mary Lockhart Brown.

Mrs. Haws was a member of the Jacksonville First Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher and member of Texas State Teachers Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bert Haws; grandson, Barry Powell; and sister, Ezell Cowen Burnett.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Ada Ruth and Billy Powell of New Summerfield; two grandsons, Cliff Powell and wife Kari and Randy Powell; seven great-grandchildren, Blake Powell, Jason Powell and wife Erica, Kara Laney and husband Josh, Brandon Powell and wife Carie, Cortney Powell, Alex Powell and Jordan Powell; three greatgreat grandchildren, Brennan, Kayla and Hunter Powell; and extended family, Neci, Nora, Natalie and Evelyn.

Pallbearers were great grandsons and John Hord, Kris Cauley and Josh Laney.

Honorary pallbearer was Kenneth Mayfield
