Milton Harris

Memorial services for Milton Harris, 75, of Rusk are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Gunter officiating. Mr. Harris died Jan. 12, 2008 in a Jacksonville nursing home. He was born Jan. 23, 1932 in Waterloo, New York to Charles Pierre and Mary Harris. He was a resident of Rusk for 30 years and an Episcopalian. He retired as a Class A PGA golf professional. He was also a construction superintendent for years. He was a rodeo cowboy and calf roper, avid fisherman, and avid in little league baseball. Mr. Harris was also a Cushing baseball coach. He served in the United States Air Force in World War II. He is preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Vera Harris of Columbia, South Carolina; daughter, Kim Lloyd of Rusk; one brother; two sisters; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
