Graveside services for Gladys N. Britt, 80, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Roselawn Park in Palestine with Bro. Carey Ponder officiating. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Mrs. Britt died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 in Jacksonville. She was born Sept. 22, 1928 in Lott. She married Sherman M. Britt who preceded her in death in 1992.Mrs. Britt was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Dayton. She is preceded in death by her husband Sherman M. Britt in 1992; parents William M. and Georgia Bolden; sisters Geneva Hodges and Mattie Killough; and brothers Richard Bolden and Elmo Bolden. Survivors include sons Bobby Britt and wife Dana of Palestine and Ronald Britt and wife Lou of Lafayette, La.; daughters Carol Wardlaw and husband Bill of Jacksonville and Ann Christian and husband Gary of Palestine; sisters Barbara Pelzel of Lott and Sue Rogers of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
