EDWARD BECK

 

Funeral for Edward Beck, 80, of Jacksonville, was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brad Turlington officiating. Burial was in Jarratt Cemetery. Mr. Beck died Thursday.

He was born July 27, 1928, in Rich Mountain, Ark. to Walter Edward Beck and Katie Mae Copeland Beck. Mr. Beck served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World II, was a member of DAV and VFW, was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was retired from Western Lithotech.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Edward Beck and Katie Mae Copeland Beck; and sister Frances Tomlinson.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip E.and Brenda Beck of Jacksonville; sister. Polly Sawyer of El Paso; grandson Phillip Beck, Jr. of Dallas; granddaughters, Ami Beck of Jacksonville and Stacy Koonce of Longview.
