Services for William “Bill” Underwood, 76, of Jacksonville, TX are
scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Autry Funeral Home
Chapel, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Still Waters Memorial
Gardens, Jacksonville, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home,
Jacksonville, TX.
Mr. Underwood died March 14, 2008. He was born January 14, 1932 in
Colbert County Alabama to Andrew Kee & Henrietta Underwood. He retired
from the insurance industry and was a member of Central Baptist Church,
Jacksonville. Bill was the director of The Pine Crest Dev. Co., Director
of the Afton Grove Water Supply, past President of The Jacksonville
Kiwanis Club, Past President of the Lake Jacksonville Assoc. and a
member of the Presidents Club for Reliable Life Ins. CO.
He was preceded in death by his parent; Kee & Henrietta Underwood and a
son, Andy Underwood.
He is survived by sons; Alan Underwood of Russelville, Alabama & William
Underwood, II of Wynona, TX, step-son, Larry McGaughey of Lake Jackson,
TX, 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, also several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Monday March 17 from 12 noon until
service time @ 2 P.M. at the funeral home, Jacksonville.
