Esther Genevieve Templeton 10/23/1913 -1/4/2007
Genevieve Laird Templeton, was born on October 23, 1916 in Texarkana, TX. She
departed this life on Thursday January 4, 2007. She was a graduate of Texarkana
High School, and Texarkana Business School. As a long time resident of
Jacksonville, TX, Genevieve loved to crochet, research her genealogy, and was a
member in The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the secretary for
First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville from 1936 to 1945, and was a
charter member of Women’s Society of Christian Service. She and her husband
helped to organize St. John’s Methodist Church where she was a pianist.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Templeton, her daughter,
Emily Anderson, and her brother, Creighton Laird. She leaves to mourn two
beloved grandsons, Stewart Beasley Anderson of Garland, TX and Nathan Templeton
Anderson of Dallas, TX along with a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 7 at the Jacksonville City
Cemetery at 2 pm.

Services for Genevieve Laird Templeton of Jacksonville, will be at 2 p.m.,
Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at the Jacksonville City Cemetery.
