Virginia Leah San Miguel

Graveside Services for Virginia Leah San Miguel, 87, of Big Sandy, Texas will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Lakeland Hills Cemetery in Kingsland, Texas.

Mrs. San Miguel died Friday, March 23, 2007, in Tyler.

She was born December 13, 1919 in Mansfield, Texas.

She began her working years as an administrative secretary and retired from 30 years of Civil Service as a Social Security Claim Representative.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Texas where she resided prior to moving to Big Sandy, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Miguel “Sam” San Miguel, her mother Sarah Reece Perry, her father “Bud” Perry and five siblings. She was the youngest of the Perry family.

Survivors include her daughter Gloria Ann Newquist and husband Keith Newquist of Big Sandy, grandchildren Charlotte Leah McKnight, Jacksonville and Ray Lanier, Hawkins; great-grandchildren Jake and Kim McKnight, Jacksonville and Daisy Lanier, Austin and great-great-grandson, Alex McKnight, Jacksonville.

Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to travel, hunt and enjoy life to its fullest. She will be missed.
