Roy ( R.E.) Earl Rawlinson 11/11/1919 -2/4/2008
Roy Earl Rawlinson, 88, of Jacksonville passed
from this life on Monday, February 4, 2007 in Jacksonville. He was born
November 11, 1919 in Maydelle, TX to Walt & Buna Rawlinson.
Mr. Rawlinson retired from General Refratories in Troup where he worked
as a brick contractor and also served his country in the U.S. Army
during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudie Dee Rawlinson, sons; Randy
Lynn Rawlinson, Joe Frank Rawlinson and a daughter, Cynthia Littlejohn.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Rawlinson and wife Becky of New
Summerfield and a sister, Betty Lou Chanell of Cushing, 5 grandchildren;
Michelle Arnold, Stephen Fuentes, Amber Rawlinson, Jonathan Rawlinson
and April Rawlinson and three great grandchildren and several other
relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2007
at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield with Rev. Donny Sadler presiding.
Arrangements are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home,
Jacksonville.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, Feb 6, 2007 at the funeral
home.
Pallbearers: Bruce Ivy, Richard Bird, Tim Tipton, Johnny Birdwell, Eddie
Birdwell and James Arnold.

Graveside service for Roy Earl Rawlinson, 88, of Jacksonville, was at 2
p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at McDonald Cemetery with the Rev. Donny Sadler
officiating. Mr. Rawlinson died Feb. 4. He was born Nov. 11, 1919, in
Maydelle to Walt and Buna Rawlinson. He retired from General Refratories
in Troup as a brick contractor. He served in the U.S. Army during World
War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudie Dee Rawlinson;
sons, Randy Lynn Rawlinson and Joe Frank Rawlinson; and a daughter,
Cynthia Littlejohn.
