Funeral services for Myrtle Perry, 86, of Troup,
are scheduled for Monday, February 25, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. at Autry
Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Rev. Shelia Blackstock and Rev. Donny
Sadler presiding. Burial will follow at New Emmaus Cemetery under the
direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Mrs. Perry passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Tyler. She was
born July 23, 1921 in Splendora, Texas to Clem G. & Ada Presswood. She
was a member of the Granderland Baptist Church in Montgomery County and
a member of the Southern Belles.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Karen Perry of
Rusk, TX and a daughter, and son-in-law, Della Ray and Troy Mitchell of
Shreveport, LA, 4 grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ken McClure, Ronnie Blackstock, Philip Watkins,
Shawn Dean, Jimmy Odom, and Shelley Cleaver.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 6:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
