Ethyl McAnally

Services for Ethyl McAnally, 92, of Jacksonville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at the Old City Cemetery, with Rev. Robert L. Collins and Rev. Paul Bonner officiating under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.

Mrs. McAnally died Feb. 2, 2007, in a local nursing home. She was born March 7, 1914, in Jacksonville. She retired from nursing after 53 years working at Newburn Hospital in Jacksonville. She was a member of Antioch Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John M. McAnally; her granddaughters, Stephanie McAnally and Reann Cooper; and her grandson, Eddie McAnally.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Beverly McAnally of Willis, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Johnny and Barbara Johnson of Montgomery, Texas; her sister, Opal Rachel of Jacksonville; her niece and husband, Robert and Patsy Collins of Jacksonville; her nephew and wife, Billy and Sandra Partin of Jacksonville; her daughter-in-law, Geneva McAnally of New Caney; her six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
