Mrs. Elmo Lee
Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 2 p.m., in
the Autry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Frankston City Cemetery, Frankston.
Pallbearers will be Randy Dingler, Kevin Dingler, Keith Small, and Shawn
Small. Mrs. Lee passed away on March 15, 2007, in Jacksonville.
She was born in Frankston, Texas October 1, 1919 to parents Ira Griffin
and Vena Richards Griffin. She lived in Frankston her entire life until
1999 when she moved to Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and seamstress
working in the needlecraft industry for twenty plus years in Tyler and
Jacksonville. She loved to use her talent of sewing for her family and
friends both before and after her retirement. Mrs. Lee was a member of
First Baptist Church Frankston where she taught Sunday School to Junior
High girls for many years.
She loved the important things of life such as family, friends, her
home, and was always concerned about the welfare of her close friends of
many years. She always looked forward to her family coming to her house
on holidays and special occasions.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmo Lee, her parents, and her
sister Wanda Merlene Corley.
She is survived by her son and her daughter-in-law, Ronny and Frances
Lee of Jacksonville; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Randy Dingler
of Tyler; granddaughter and husband, Rhonda and Keith Small of
Longview; grandson, Kevin Dingler and granddaughter, Cammy Dingler of
Tyler; great-granddaughter, Jessika Small of College Station;
great-grandson, Shawn Small of Longview, along with two nephews and
several cousins.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Frankston or the charity
of the Donor’s choice.
