Ameda Martha Johnston
Graveside services for Ameda Martha Johnston, 93, of Lubbock will be
at 2 p.m., Thursday, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville, with
the Rev. Barbara Huggins officiating, under the direction of
Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Johnston died March 12, 2007, at a Lubbock hospital. She was born
Dec. 3, 1913, in Batesville, Ark. She lived in Lubbock the past three
months. Prior to that, she lived in Kyle, Texas and Jacksonville, Texas.
She was a housewife and a member of the First Methodist Church in
Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Johnston and
son, Ronald T. Johnston.
Survivors include sons, Bob and Charlotte Johnston of Lubbock and Jack
Johnston of Kyle; one daughter, Carolyn Stepp of Kyle; one
daughter-in-law, Midge Johnston Going of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren,
three step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and
step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, at the funeral home.
