Glenn Hergenrader
A memorial Service for Glenn Hergenrader, 57, of Richmond, will be at 2 p.m.,
Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in
Rosenberg, Texas.
Glenn was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Victor and Mary (Jacobs)
Hergenrader. He played football for the University of Nebraska where he received
his Bachelor’s Degree. Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of
the American Legion. He belonged to the Greater Houston Coaches Association and
the Texas High School Coaches Association. He loved spending time with his
children and grandsons, fishing and barbecuing. Glenn also loved mentoring,
motivating and being a role model for children. He coached at eight different
schools across Texas and two schools in Nebraska. He passed away Feb. 7, 2007 in
Sugar Land, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mary Hergenrader.
Glenn is lovingly survived by his wife of 15 years, Sue Hergenrader; daughter,
Tevyan Sorensen and husband, Anton; Son, Sean Gentry and wife, Tonya; Grandsons:
Connor and Colin Gentry; Brother:Allan Hergenrader and wife, Mardell; Nephew:
Dave Hergenrader and wife, Sarah; niece:Jolene Hergenrader; Along with extended
family and numerous fellow coaches, former and current players and many
wonderful friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Glenn’s name to the Joe Beene Fund; Greater
Houston Football Coaches Association Scholarship Fund; or to the Glenn
Hergenrader Scholarship Fund at George W. Bush High School.

Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Roller, Ray Boler, Tom Elder, Alan
Roberts, Randy Dennis, Scott Moehlig and T.J. Mills.
