Sue Gore

Services for Sue Gore, 82, of Jacksonville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Cleaver and the Rev. James Blaylock officiating under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Gore died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, in Tyler. She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Orange. She was a retired accountant and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at New Summerfield High School and retired from Bealls and the Cherokee County Courthouse. She was married to Argin Gore, and he preceded her in death, along with her parents.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Neil Smith of Jacksonville; granddaughter and husband, Michelle and Roman Cline of Flint; great grandchildren, Emily Dahlgren, Abigail Dahlgren and Luke Dahlgren of Flint and grandson, Mark Dahlgren.

A special thank you to the doctors of Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals in Tyler and Jacksonville, to Gwen and C.L. Newburn, Jan Brazier and to all of her friends who called to check on her. Honorary pallbearers include C.L. and Lunn Newburn and the deacons of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Autry Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or to a charity of your choice.
