Elizabeth Burns

Graveside services for Elizabeth Burns, 89, of Jacksonville will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Larissa Cemetery in Mount Selman with Pastor Richard Rutledge officiating, under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Burns died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Myrtle Springs. She was raised in the Reynolds Presbyterian Home for Children in Dallas. She was a retired librarian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by grandsons, Kyle Burns, Steven Spurger and Eddie Grimes.

Survivors include son, Jerry Burns and wife, Carolyn of Jacksonville; daughter, Cynthia Little and husband, Richard of Bullard; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers include Timmy Spurger, Michael Spurger, Jacob Rutledge, Taylor Burns, Jamie Burns, Joshua Spurger, John Spurger, Jordon Spurger, Joshua Bohannon and Kyle Bohannon.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m., today, at the funeral home.

Services for Ella Session, of Rusk, are pending with Mercy-McGowan Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Ms. Session died Feb. 8, 2007, in Dallas.
