DAVID LATRELL MILTON
Funeral for David LaTrell Milton, 22, of Alto was at 2 p.m. Friday in
the Weeping Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Isaac Wiley, the Rev.
Alvan Ramsey and the Rev. Herman Martin officiating. Burial was in St.
Thomas Chapel Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral
Directors.
Mr. Milton died Sunday, Jan. 20, in Jacksonville. He was born Dec. 28, 1985, in Rusk to Bernice Pope Milton and David Milton. He attended Alto High School and graduated in May 2004. He worked at Birmingham Healthcare Center part time and was presently unemployed. He joined Weeping Mary Baptist Church at a young age and participated in many church activities. He was preceded in death by several family members including his grandfather, Robert E. Lee Thacker and a special Uncle Clinton (Nick) Pope.
Survivors are his parents, David and Bernice Milton of Alto; grandmothers, Addie Helen Pope of Alto and Bobbie Polk of Huntsville; his grandfather, Sulvester (S.P.) Polk of Huntsville; five brothers, Emmanuel D. Milton and Kentavious L. Milton, both of Alto, Eddie Thomas and Eric Vaught of Huntsville and Wayne Vaughn of Conroe; a sister, Shanique Vaughn of Houston; a special uncle Lane Pope and wife, Darlene of Kennard; a special friend, Amanda Crosby of Alto; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Eddie Thomas, Kevin Freeney, Jessie Wortham, Emmanuel Milton, Jerrick Skinner and Cedric Pope. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Milton, Lane Cardell Pope, Emmanuel Dayshon Milton, Montario Dalane Pope, Lacartis Lee Pope and Dexter Pope.
