Doyle D. McClain

 Funeral services for Doyle D. McClain, 88, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Steve Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery, Alto. Mr. McClain died Friday, July 18, 2008, in Jacksonville. He was born March 30, 1920, in Cherokee County to the late Miles Andrew and Myrtle Jane McClain. Mr. McClain was a member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Deloris McClain; son Ronald McClain; grandson Craig McClain; and sisters Othelle Townley and Tommie Collins. He is survived by sons Jerry McClain and wife Camella of Jacksonville, and Phil McClain and wife Debbie of Henderson; daughter Karen Cook and husband Bobby of Henderson; grandchildren Tracy Foy and husband James of Katy, Cami Barr and husband Sean of Cypress, Jeremy Cook and wife Katie of Honey Grove, Steven Cook and wife Dominique of Savannah, Ga., Bryan Cook and wife Miranda of Rusk, Brandi McClain of Fort Worth, and Mary McClain of Henderson; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Cook, Steven Cook, Bryan Cook, Wayne Bolton, Frank Goodson and Ed Lovelady. Honorary pallbearers will be James Foy, Sean Barr, Tracy Tidwell and A.C. Wright. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Memorial may be made to Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville.
