MILDRED BOYER
Funeral for Mildred Boyer 95, of Elkhart, was at 10 a.m. Friday at the
Elkhart First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Gernenz officiating.
Burial was in Garden of Memories. Mrs. Boyer died March 11. She was born
April 2, 1912, in Wood County, to Romney Cleveland and Maggie Lou Laney
Griffith. Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Elkhart First Baptist Church,
Order of the Eastern Star No. 395 of Palestine and Pilgrim Homemakers
Club in Elkhart. She graduated from Palestine High School in 1931.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Charles Russell Boyer; two brothers Earl and Albert Griffith; three sisters Hazel Hamby, Faye Honeycutt and Christine Dancer.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Gentry of Palestine; and several nieces and nephews, James Hamby, Susie Blackmon, Barbara Dancer Tidwell, Eddie Dancer, Sherry Shirley, Milton Griffith, Gilbert Griffith, Rayburn Griffith, Sue Griffith, Cindy Griffith, Bobby Griffith, Kenneth Honeycutt, Darrel Gentry, Mike Gentry and Kim Gentry Rinderkinect.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine.
