ALFRED BOLCH
Funeral for Dr. Alfred Price Bolch, 86, of Rusk, was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel in Alba, with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba.
Dr. Bolch died Jan. 5. He was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Port Arthur, to William and Nina Thane Bolch. He had lived in Rusk since 1985 moving there from Atlanta. He married Lou Ann McKenzie Bolch December 24, 1964, in Houston. He was a medical doctor with a specialty in psychiatry and retired after working 10 years at Rusk State Hospital.
He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 42 years, Lou Ann Bolch, on Aug. 21, 2007; son, David Bolch; daughter, Susan Andress; four sisters, Inez Terrell, Mona Berthlot, Clara Brite and Norma Parish; and one brother, Billy Ray Bolch.
Survivors include six daughters, Charlotte Bolch of Henderson, Charisse Bolch of Bullard, Gaye McGinn and husband, Larry, of Henderson, Martha Lutich, Celia Tyler, and Mary Chacon, all of San Antonio; three sons, William A. Bolch of Laredo, Alfred P. Bolch, Jr. and Paul D. Bolch, both of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren including Brandi, Daniel, and Hailey Hubacek.
Pallbearers were Daniel Hubacek, Todd Sligar, Kelly Burns, C.J. Sligar, Brett Sligar, Garet Sligar, and Larry McGinn.
