BLOW
Graveside service for Melvin E. Blow, 80, of Flint, formerly of Bullard
and Mt. Selman, was at 10 a.m. Friday at Larissa Cemetery with the Rev.
Roy Thoene officiating. Mr. Blow died June 3. He was born Dec. 13, 1927 in Bullard to Marcus
Hodges Blow and Ethel Orie Casey Blow. He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in the Panama Canal
Zone during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Blow was a member of Gresham Baptist Church, was formerly a
farmer and was retired from Smith County Road and Bridge Dept. as a
truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Helen Louise
Nance.Survivors include his wife Dorothy Spivey Blow of Flint; sister and
brother-in-law, Marvis and Jack Stripling of Bullard, and several nieces
and nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Willis, Neil Nance, Bruce Stripling,
Terry Hughes, Steve Hatten and Charles Ray. Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
