Mable Yancey
Services for Mable Yancey, 92, of Kilgore will be at 10 a.m., Saturday,
August 4, 2007 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend David
Hampton and Reverend Kelly Brian officiating. Burial will follow in the
Tecula Cemetery, north of Jacksonville, Texas. Mrs. Yancey died
Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in Tyler.
She was born November 23, 1914 in Jacksonville, Texas. Mrs. Yancey grew
up in the Tecula area. She and her husband moved to Kilgore in 1936.
Mrs. Yancey was a homemaker and took pride in her canning abilities. She
enjoyed fishing, gardening and quilting. Mrs. Yancey was a pleasant
person who always had a smile regardless of the conditions. Mrs. Yancey
is survived by two daughters, Freda Mitchell of Liberty City and Kathy
Stewart of Kilgore; three sons, Kenneth Yancey of Kilgore, Dennis Yancey
of Kilgore, Delwyn Yancey of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Homer White
of Tecula, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday evening
between 6-8 p.m.
